Jodi (Jiachen) Zhang is an articling student at MUNERA. She received her JD from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law after completing her Honours BA with high distinction in Economics and Employment Relations at the University of Toronto.
During her last year at law school, Jodi completed an exchange semester at the University of Copenhagen, where she studied laws of startups and criminological theories.
While attending law school, Jodi worked as a part-time caseworker at Downtown Legal Services and represented clients charged with academic misconducts and in academic appeals. In this role, she drafted various legal documents, successfully negotiated settlements with opposing counsels, and made submissions before the University Tribunal.
Prior to joining MUNERA, Jodi worked as a legal researcher for a legal technology company, where she conducted research on Canadian immigration law and developed her interests in legal technology and emerging business.
Jodi’s previous experience also includes working at start-up incubators. She assisted local startups from various industries and provided information on business law and regulatory matters, such as shareholders’ agreements and licensing regulations.
Jodi is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
